I actually found and fixed some bugs in the custom color system that could be related to what you described. I've just released a new version with the fix.

Since this looks like Windows is marking the app as "not responding" (freezing the main window loop while some background processes might still run), i would love to get a few more details to pinpoint the bug.

• How often does this happen? (e.g., every few minutes, once an hour, randomly?)
• When the black box appears, does the pet keep physically moving/walking across your desktop, or does it stay in one place just playing its animations?
• Does the issue resolve itself if you wait a bit, or are you forced to close the app every time?
• Does this only happen with this specific Ferret and custom colors, or does it also happen with other pets and default colors?

Any details would be very helpful to replicate this bug and try to solve it!

Yes! I didn't add this feature because some people would find it intrusive.

A realistic mode would require a big modification to the game, new assets, and more resource consumption, so it is not planned.

Cosmetics are planned for a future update, with rarities and mini-games to earn them. As for custom pets, I thought about building a desktop pet engine, but never made it because I was working on other projects.

I will keep that in mind!

You should be able to display it on more monitors through Windows settings. I'll look into it anyway, just to be sure it's working properly

Hi! Sorry for the late reply — I've been busy and had to put these projects on hold for a while. I'm now getting back to it, and I’ll probably rebuild the program from scratch with graphical rendering and improved movement, as well as adding all the colors and other animations.

I'm sorry but it uses windows APIs, so it would be difficult to make it work. 

Due to how Windows handles screens, it doesn't display in fullscreen. Change the screen setting to borderless window mode to make it visible!

It may have incompatibilityes with .NET 4.7.2. The older versions of Kirby U.F.O worked fine? 

What version of Windows are you using?

Just click on yes to install a newest version. UFO Kirby program run on .NET framework, so if you have an old version, it can't run.

Hello! I been busy these days, but im finishing the v3 update. Im also fixing things and adding other features. As the color changing feature is mostly completed, here's a sneak peek!

Change colors will be done through the menu (like size).  The update will come out between 1s and 2n week of July.
