I didn't study Computer Science (CS) in school. I'm not a coder, Software Engineer, etc... I'm a Program Manager who often feels like an imposter due to my lack of CS background.
But today there is code that I wrote checked into #Windows11. So, that's pretty cool. ๐
Working to help IT Admins manage Windows updates with Autopatch / WSUS and AI (Agents, Connectors, models, etc.). My opinions are mine!

- Drivers and firmware are a pain, but we are finally announcing some AWESOME stuff to make them easier. Check it out! #Drivers #UpdateManagement #YAY! -(blog) techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-it-โฆ & - (video) techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/video-hub/dโฆ
- Homework assignment: Confirm that NONE of these legacy Windows Update policies are set on your #Windows10 or #Windows11 devices. Folks who complete the assignment will get a better update experience and an A+ Gif! ๐๐๐ฅณ

- Friendly reminder - #WindowsUpdate Group Policies and CSPs will conflict, and you will have poor results... #1 issue we see for folks moving from OnPrem to the Cloud is policy conflicts. Start the new year with a single set of #WUfB policy types (CSPs OR GPs) :)
- Your managed devices will NOT automatically upgrade to #Windows11. For #WUfB you'll need to specifically select/enter "Windows 11" on the Feature Update Deployments page in Intune or the Target release version policy. Deferrals alone won't move you to windows 11.
- #WUfB friends!! Have you ever wanted your company name on the Windows Update notifications instead of "Your Organization"?!? Well that ability is coming soon, check it out! <video only> youtu.be/l8L9g2F8fYQ <Full Blog> techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-it-โฆ
- YES!! The #UpdatePolicy CSP page is now updated to show which policies should be used for what and which are legacy policies we don't recommend! Check out the changes! (#ThankYou to those who have been providing feedback / making requests on docs! ๐)
