FAQ

Launching, pricing, backlinks, and AI agents - straight answers about how ScrollLaunch works.

Launch a product

Launching

How weekly launches, the leaderboard, and free listings work.

What is ScrollLaunch?

ScrollLaunch is a weekly product launch platform for indie makers and SaaS founders. Submit your product and get an SEO-ready page plus AI-readable listings, so it can rank on Google and get cited in AI answers from ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity - backed by product-page backlinks (always dofollow on Premium / Premium+; badge-gated on free) that compound your domain authority over time.

How do I submit a product?

Create a free account, open your dashboard, and submit your product. Once it goes live it joins the weekly leaderboard and the /products directory, and it gets a dedicated product page. Free launches stay dofollow only while the ScrollLaunch badge stays on your site; Premium and Premium+ are always dofollow.

Is launching really free?

Yes. Free Launch is permanent - public product page, weekly leaderboard placement, upvotes, and analytics with no time limit. The product-page backlink stays dofollow while the ScrollLaunch badge is on your site. Premium and Premium+ are optional one-time upgrades with always-dofollow product pages, never subscriptions.

How many products can launch each week?

Each ISO week has 20 free (non-premium) slots. Premium and Premium+ listings skip the cap. When a week fills, pick another week or upgrade.

How does the weekly leaderboard work?

Every ISO week, live products are ranked by upvotes (with engagement tiebreakers). Top spots get spotlight placement across archives and weekly recaps. Past weeks stay at /week/[year]/[week].

How do daily streaks work?

Do one each UTC day: leave 1 comment or upvote 3 products. Miss a full UTC day and the current streak resets; personal best is permanent and unlocks checkout perks. The public board is at /streaks; your own progress is at /dashboard/streaks.

Who runs ScrollLaunch?

ScrollLaunch is built and operated solo by Kalash Vasaniya. Sister properties include SuperFast, SEO It Is, and MakeItLast.

Pricing & upgrades

Free vs Premium vs Premium+, ads, and refunds.

Which upgrade should I pick?

Premium ($19) if you want the verified badge, feed priority, and a mention in that week's Monday Substack. Premium+ ($39) if you want a permanent AI article on /blog with 4+ dofollow links - the compounding SEO play.

Is the backlink dofollow?

Premium and Premium+ always get a dofollow link from /products/[slug]. Free launches stay dofollow only while the ScrollLaunch badge (or a link to that page) stays on your site - we re-check weekly. Discovery surfaces (feed, archive) stay nofollow on every tier. Homepage ads and newsletter / X shoutouts on a free listing also pause if the badge is missing.

How do ad slots work?

Pick 1–6 ISO weeks at bundle pricing for the homepage center ad or sitewide sidebar. Sponsored placements are clearly labelled and pass dofollow equity to the advertiser. Free listings need a live ScrollLaunch badge to run the slot; Premium listings always run.

Can I sponsor the newsletter?

Yes. The Monday Substack recaps Premium / Premium+ launches. Weekly sponsor is $49 per issue; a dedicated article is $249 on any day (soonest 7 days out). Both include a dofollow link on the Substack web version (Substack is DR 94). Book on https://www.scrolllaunch.com/newsletter.

Can I get a refund on Premium?

Premium is instant and permanent - no refunds, but transferable to another product you own. See https://www.scrolllaunch.com/refund-policy for the full policy.

Do you have an affiliate program?

Yes - 30% one-time commission on referred paid checkouts with a 30-day cookie. Details at https://www.scrolllaunch.com/affiliates.

For AI agents

llms.txt, MCP, markdown twins, and the public AI snapshot.

Does ScrollLaunch have an MCP server?

Yes. Public, read-only MCP tools at https://www.scrolllaunch.com/api/mcp - search_products, get_weekly_leaderboard, get_product, get_directories_dr_leaderboard. Docs at https://www.scrolllaunch.com/mcp. No API key.

Where should an AI agent start?

Read https://www.scrolllaunch.com/llms.txt first, then GET https://www.scrolllaunch.com/api/ai for a bounded snapshot of this week's leaderboard and recently live products, then use MCP tools for search, product detail, and the directories DR leaderboard (or GET https://www.scrolllaunch.com/api/directories/leaderboard).

Can agents scrape the HTML site?

Don't scrape. Use /api/ai, MCP tools, or markdown twins (append .md or Accept: text/markdown). Those surfaces are rate-limited and designed for agents.

Is there an ai.txt / llms-full.txt?

Yes - https://www.scrolllaunch.com/ai.txt for permissions and restrictions, https://www.scrolllaunch.com/llms-full.txt for a full-content mirror of live products and blog posts.
