IBackup is an online storage provider that allows for basic file backup options with the added peace of mind and security that online backup solutions are known for, while also providing some unique features currently not available from all online backup storage providers.
One of the special features IBackup provides for users is file sharing. Not all online storage options have the capabilities to offer file sharing for their users. And with file sharing provided through Ibackup, your friends don't even have to have an IBackup account to view the files you share with them. As long as you invite them they can view the files you designate to be shared. Also, the files you share can be password protected to keep them secure and, both you and the recipient can be given the ability to lock the file to prevent any unwanted overwriting.
Also, IBackup allows you to use the IBackup Drive feature which will map your IBackup files to a network drive. This will allow you to drag and drop files between the two drives making the process of backing up your files even easier.
If you need to do a large initial backup (100GB or more of data), IBackup will make it quick and easy for you by mailing an external USB hard drive or Snapservers to your home or office. This way, you can very simply backup everything onto the external drive and send it securely back to IBackup. From here you can backup as needed via the IBackup Drive.
IBackup also provides you with the option to email file attachments directly into your online storage account. Another way to make the process of backing up your documents even quicker!
And, IBackup will also provide you with email notifications regarding the day's activity. You'll know right away of any situations where the backup failed, what files were backed up, and any other activity that took place that day.
While there are a few other online backup providers that give users these options, IBackup is one of the few to have them all in one package. Online backup protection is a bit more expensive at IBackup when compared with some of the competators, but the old adage is definitely true "You get what you pay for"!

I had bad experiences with ibackup. terriblea) their user interface is clunky and sometimes recopies or duplicates files repetitively; rather than backing up the changes, leading to risk of overuse charges if you don’t monitor closely. heavy overuse chargesb) their email notification that you’ve gone over doesn’t consistently workc) phone service/user support is terrible
iBackup’s business can be summed up with two words: OVERAGE FEES!

As an IT Consultant, iBackup has saved a number of my clients from losing their data. I always recommend two sources of backup (local & online). After using Mozy pro and Carbonite, I prefer iBackup. Just this past week, I had a customer who’s hard drive crashed. The local backup was useless as someone had turned off the backup drive, but iBackup was running just fine. Saved this guy thousands of dollars for using a service that cost $9.99 a month.
Remote backup Ibackup Don’t ever use Ibackup, besides supper slow software thatwill use tons of resources, small tech support group, they will get you this way: You sign up for a contract let’s say of 100 G. for 10.00Dollars; The next plan is 20.00 dollars for 250 Gigs. So you are not there atthe time. After 3 months your business grows, and you need now tobackup 150 G. You get an email your out of quota, I mean don’t panic, youknow you will have to upgrade your plan to the next level of $20.00 No problem correct? Wrong! You will be charged insanely instead of going to a newcontract. Sorry Ibackup two thumbs down.
Using iBackup has been a horrible experience. The only reason for using ibackup was because I needed to backup a few SQL databases. The software immediate had multiple problems. When I called in for tech support, I was quickly informed that the Tier1 support did not support SQL. This is a fact the sales person I spoke with before choosing conveniently left out. The only way for me to get support from the foreign-based Tier2 is via email and live chat. They do not do phone calls to/from Tier2. This of course was a disaster and a huge waste of time. Now, I’m stuck with no backups. Do not use this software unless you want to rely on the foreign based live chat & email.
I’m about to get rid of IBackup at our small office. The scheduled backup only has worked occasionally since we switched servers. I’ve contacted technical support multiple times, and they never have identified the problem. I admit that I may be at fault with a setting or whatever, but I expect support people to know their product well enough to tell me what I’m doing wrong. Currently, the advice I’m getting boils down to, “Even though you’ve changed no settings and we haven’t told you why your backup failed, let’s hope for the best. Contact us again if the problem persists.”
Ibackup really rips you off on overage. We had a problem and called support for help with our overage becuase we removed files from our backup selection and we were still over. Then after a few calls for support they told us we needed to sync the files. Well our $9.99 backup cost us over $300.00.
make sure you watch you usage reports or you are going to get screwed over!!!
