I turned side questing into a modern prestige profession.
All it took was being cynical about everything except myself, then post-training my own policy to maximize expected return (serendipitous events (luck surface area)) by improving it until probability mass collapsed onto high-value action sequences, with mixed rollouts reserved for exploration.
That led me to attempt zero-employee companies as a way to build my way out of the permanent underclass, one day at a time.
If I had to give one piece of advice on carving your own path, and I mean truly your own, it’s this: protect your cogsec. The pendulum swings. The mind decays. They will tug at it, prompt-inject the latest psyop, and try to steer your internal model for you. Don’t let them.
Hold the line long enough and you win.
Co-founder @ Itô Markets: the agentic OTC desk for compute, the risk transfer layer for AI infrastructure. Lock a GPU-hour price for 30 to 365 days, we source, hedge, and deliver the other side. ECC is the distribution: agents find, price, and reserve compute from inside the harness instead of a sales call. First fixed-rate contracts are live. Compute inbound: affaan@itomarkets.com.
Creator of ECC: the most-starred open-source agent toolkit on GitHub. 212K+ stars, ~10k weekly downloads. Also a hosted GitHub App with private-repo support, paid tier from $19/mo. ecc.tools
The ito compute CLI: rent compute without leaving your agent.
ito find --gpu h200 --count 8 --days 3 # fixed-rate quotes on live capacity
ito lock <quote-id> # rate locked, block reserved
ito run --cluster <id> -- train.sh # kick the job at the clusterShips on npm as ito-compute-cli (coming soon).
