@burnout426 Strange. It doesn't happen with a test standalone installation of the same build. Still happens with a regular installation, even with a fresh profile and even with fresh program files. No compat settings set for the regular installation either. No difference if I rename opera.exe to something else.

The bug BUG-21893 is also present in version 133.0.5932.34 !!!

PS: The problem very is old, and by BUG-21893 it's any months old (06/03/26), and it's still not fixed

On Linux, the adblock definitions have been spamming my (systemd-journal) logs.
I get both

opera-developer.desktop[319503]: E0000 00:00:1782236318.316059 1 re2.cc:242] Error parsing '/img/(?!new).+.gif': invalid perl operator: (?!

and

opera-developer.desktop[256280]: E0000 00:00:1782156574.776787 1 re2.cc:242] Error parsing '^https?://[-a-z]{5,13}.[a-z]{3,6}/[0-9a-h]{1,17}?[0-9a-zA-Z]{1,22}=[%0-9a-zA-Z]{200,1300}': invalid repetition size: {200,1300}

about 10000 times per day (!).

I commented them out in .config/opera-developer/adblocker_data/1776F3BF15261DACC49D7AFCF4D66B9EF6C64023021B7F1585552A71B5800530.easylist
but wish you would do so. (Or did I install UBlock Origin? I think not!)

So actually no, version 131.0.5877.97 was not announced. It was merely mentioned somewhere.

It seems rather obvious that this is not clear for people and causing confusion among users.
