Build A Ring Farm bees: all bees, best bees & permanent bees

The Update 7 bee system pairs with the Queen Bee Event: place bees in your Hive, they collect Nectar and make Honey, and you spend that Honey on more bees and permanent unlocks. Here is the full roster, which bees are worth chasing, and how to optimize your Hive.

Confirmed effects are short timed buffs; the milestone bees (Royal, Queen, Honeyheart, Bloomwarden, Crownkeeper) reveal their stats as you unlock them at the Bee Merchant.

Permanent bees: the highest-value reward

Most bees disappear when the event ends, but permanent bees stay with you. They are tied to event-progress milestones at the Bee Merchant, so they are the single most valuable thing to chase while the event is live.

What 'permanent' means

A permanent bee keeps working in your Hive after the Queen Bee Event closes, unlike rolled bees that vanish at the end. That makes them long-term Honey and earnings infrastructure rather than one-event boosts.

How to unlock them

Permanent bees are sold by the Bee Merchant in the center of the map, gated behind event-progress milestones. Check the Merchant often — stock rotates and milestone unlocks appear as you hit Honey and event thresholds.

Prioritize them early

Because they persist, every hour of Honey you funnel toward a permanent-bee milestone pays off long after the event. Hit the unlock conditions first, then spend leftover Honey on rolls.

Hive optimization

The Hive is the engine of the whole bee economy. These four levers decide how fast you bank Honey.

Keep the Hive full

Bees sitting in your inventory produce nothing. Every Hive slot you can fill is more Nectar gathered and more Honey per minute, so place every bee you own.

Plant your whole farm

Bees gather Nectar by flying over planted crops. A fully planted ring around the Hive means bees hit Nectar on every flight instead of crossing empty plots.

Buy Hive upgrades first

Hive upgrades raise capacity, work speed, and Honey output — the single biggest lever for long-term Honey. Buy them before spending on extra rolls.

Visit the Bee Merchant often

Permanent bees and exclusive items sell out and the stock rotates. You pass the Merchant during normal farm runs, so check it every few minutes.

Roll new bees or upgrade what you have?

Honey is limited, so the Rolling Station versus upgrades choice decides how fast your Hive scales.

Roll at the Bee Rolling Station

Each roll costs Honey and gives a random bee. Roll early to widen your collection and fill empty Hive slots — a fuller Hive always out-produces a small one.

Upgrade with duplicates

Use duplicate bees to upgrade existing ones instead of selling them for a small Honey refund. Upgraded bees output more, so duplicates are worth more merged than sold.

Save for permanent bees

Once your Hive is full and upgraded, bank Honey for the Bee Merchant's permanent bees. They outlast the event, so they beat extra rolls late in the window.

Stack the Honeycomb mutation

The Queen Bee Event also feeds the Honeycomb mutation (6.5x). Pair bee farming with the event's Honey Pot pulls and drop Honeycomb into the calculator to see what it's worth on your best crop.

Bees FAQ

How do I get bees in Build A Ring Farm?

Talk to the Beekeeper NPC in front of your garden during the Queen Bee Event for a free Worker Bee. After that, spend the Honey your bees produce at the Bee Rolling Station to pull random new bees, and use duplicates to upgrade the bees you already have.

What is the best bee in Build A Ring Farm?

Among confirmed bees, the Harvest Bee (+15% crop earnings for 25s) edges out the Garden Bee (+10%) for raw income, while the Fertiliser Bee adds free fertilizer procs. The strongest long-term picks are the permanent bees from the Bee Merchant, but several (Royal, Queen, Honeyheart, Bloomwarden, Crownkeeper) still have TBA effects until you unlock them.

How do permanent bees work?

Permanent bees stay in your Hive after the Queen Bee Event ends, unlike rolled bees that disappear. They are unlocked at the Bee Merchant (center of the map) by hitting event-progress milestones, which makes them the highest-value reward to chase while the event is live.

How does the Hive work?

You place bees inside the Hive and they fly out automatically to collect Nectar from your planted crops. When a bee fills up it returns to the Hive, converts the Nectar into Honey, and flies back out. Keep the Hive full and your farm planted, and buy Hive upgrades to raise capacity, speed, and Honey output.
