Question

Good evening Fastily, I hope you are well. I wanted to ask a question about having pages in own userspace being deleted (you have deleted several of my old user pages in the past when I have decided I no longer wanted them). I am aware that user talk pages are not deleted due to notability and stuff but what about sandbox user talk pages? Is this the case for all talk pages regardless of namespace or is it only main user talk pages which almost never get deleted? Many thanks Blanchey (talk) 20:49, 17 May 2022 (UTC)

Hi Blanchey. Most admins won't delete sandbox user talk pages by default. If there are no substantial content contributions/messages from other editors, then you can request that these be deleted. -FASTILY 00:54, 18 May 2022 (UTC)

Hello Fastily, I hope you’re having a good day. I wanted to ask you a couple of questions regarding my declined rollback permission request. The first was that you told me that to be granted the permission, I needed to spend a few weeks patrolling recent changes. I did this although a lot of the time I didn’t really know what the articles were about so I wouldn’t have known whether something was true or unsourced, unless it was blatant vandalism. I did add a few tags such as ‘possible vandalism’ although nothing came through and everything that was had already been undone. What would you say is the best way to learn to patrol recent changes? Also, what’s the difference between the permission rollback and the twinkle rollback function? Thank you Blanchey (talk) 10:35, 23 May 2022 (UTC)

Hi Blanchey. I recommend enrolling in Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit/Academy where you'll be able to work with a trainer who will teach you everything you need to know. Regards, FASTILY 08:27, 24 May 2022 (UTC)

Writing an Article

Dear Fastily,

Hope you are doing great. Thanks for the comments on the sandbox I shared. I was actually hoping to receive this as soon as I posted, as I hoped someone will mark the content for deletion so I could reach out to them for a more better text and context understanding on Wikipedia. This is my first time navigating the space and after reading through so many notes and different summaries on how to get started and stay within the context of the conversation, I decided to sway to get a more practical understanding on the process.

I am looking forward and hoping to write about someone who is actually doing some incredible work in terms of promoting and advancing volunteerism and meaningful youth engagement around the African continent, who has decided to remain under the curtain. I thought bringing some of his work to light through a wikipedia page will be a great way of sharing to the world his efforts and commitments so far.

Please kindly advise if this is something you can help me do or you could be more of a mentor to me within this space, so i can better understand what I am doing. It is so sad that I do not really know any wikipedian here in Cameroon, after conducting several online research to find one.

Please undo the G7 of Shri Gopal Puri. It's disruptive on behalf of the creator who has been warned endlessly about paid editing and has repeatedly moved this into mainspace. Creating a page for myself

Hi Fastly,

Ryan Painter here. I went through a considerable amount of time and effort to create a page for myself onky tonhavw it deleted (by you, i believe). I admit I'm not entirely familiar with Wikipedia and how pages are adjudicated, but I worked on this for a while and was disappointed to not have an opportunity to save the content or answer questions.

Before I restart this whole progress all over again, I'm hoping for some guidance on how to not have my effort and time deleted again.
