After not being on Wiki for a while, I clicked on "Random article" and got this. Hooray!


I just created Random number generation, some elements of this page could be moved there.

Randomization is about taking elements and putting them in random order (i.e. shuffling) (or maybe also selecting a random subset), generating random numbers is about just creating numbers at random. The two processes are fairly equivalent.

I don't want to merge this page over there, but the scope of this article could be made more narrow. Flammifer 09:08, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
