Emulation
Guides on emulating older applications

BootX allows you to boot the Linux kernel on Old World PowerPC Macs, including NuBus-based systems. It will not work on New World Macs (i.e. iMac G3, Power Macintosh G3 Blue and White, and later).

DL #1: The BootX application, system extension, source code, utilities, readmes, and miBoot floppy image. No kernels are included.

DL #2: The BootX application, system extension, utilities, and readmes. No kernels, floppy images, or source code is included, resulting in a smaller download.

Some important notes:

Mac OS must be installed; BootX cannot boot the kernel without Mac OS
Requires an uncompressed or coff-compressed kernel

Still works to load both old and new Linux kernels! Tested and working with kernel 6.4 on Debian sid.
